"Interior detailing" means two completely different jobs depending on who you ask, which is why quotes around here swing from under two hundred to over four. So here is exactly where our line sits.
Every interior detail includes hot-water extraction of the carpets and seats. A machine works solution into the fibres and pulls it back out with the dirt — it is not a vacuum, and it is not a spray-and-wipe. Plenty of places charge that as an extra on top of their advertised price. Ours is in the number.
It also includes steam through the vents, the seat seams, the seatbelt buckles and the plastics, a full vacuum under the seats and along the rails rather than just the open floor, and the dash, console, door cards and interior glass done by hand.
The things we get called about most: dog hair worked down into the weave, a coffee that went in weeks ago, crumbs and spilled milk compacted under a child seat, road salt tracked in all winter, and a cabin that smells of smoke.

Questions about interior only
Can you get dog hair out of a car?
Yes. Woven-in pet hair has to be lifted with rubber and pumice tools before a vacuum will touch it, which is hourly work rather than a quick pass — so it's a $59 add-on. Light shedding usually comes out with the standard extraction and costs nothing extra.
Will hot-water extraction get an old stain out?
Often, but not always, and we'd rather say that up front. Fresh spills come out almost completely. Something that has been baked in through a summer, or a dye stain, may lift most of the way and no further. Send a photo and we'll give you a straight answer before you book.
Can you clean under a child seat?
Yes, and please tell us it's there when you book. Detailers get complaints about not cleaning under child seats more than almost anything else — usually because nobody agreed in advance who was taking it out. We'll remove it, clean underneath and refit it for $49, or you can take it out yourself beforehand and it costs nothing.
How long does the interior take to dry?
Extraction leaves the fabric damp, not wet. A few hours with the windows cracked in decent weather. In winter we adjust the process so you are not left with a damp car you cannot air out.
Can you get a smoke smell out?
Cleaning removes the source, which handles most cases. If it's set into the headliner and the vents we'd add an ozone treatment at $149 — that neutralises what's left rather than covering it with a fragrance.
